MASS MEETING PROPOSED To enable radio listeners to give more adequate expression to their wishes in regard to broadcasting matters, the United Listeners' Club proposes to hold a mass meeting in the Town Hall within the next few weeks. A letter was received from the club bv the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday, requesting the council's support. It was stated that the club's membership was over 1700 and it was felt that if a strong representative committee, comprising all interested associations, were formed to support the club at this juncture, some substantial concessions would be A G. Lunn said it was not a matter which concerned the council, which had more important business on hand. It was decided to take no action.
