PROSPECTING LICENCE
MAHAKIPAWA DISPUTE, . CASE FOR SUPREME COURT [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION*] BLENHEIM. Thursday The protracted litigation which has resulted from the application by Ernest Herbert Brooker, of Wellington, for a prospecting licence over an area at Mahakipawa was carried a Btage further in the Warden's Court this morning, when a further phase of the objection to the application taken by Mahakipawa Goldfields, Limited, was opened up. The upshot was that the warden. Mr. T. E. Maunsell, deemed the legal aspects of the case of such importance that he decided to state a case to the Supreme Court for decision. This will be the second time the matter has been before the Higher Court, as an appeal from the warden's decision on another aspect wns heard at the last session.
