BISHOP LISTON
PLANS FOR RECEPTION Bishop Liston, who left Auckland last April on an official visit to Rome, will return by the Niagara on November 28. Arrangements for a reception were discussed at a meeting of Catholio laity and clergy last night, when a committee was appointed to finalise matters. It was decided to accord the bishop a welcome on the wharf, and also to arrange for a parade of children from Roman Catholic schools on some part of the route which the bishop will take from the wharf to St. Patrick's Cathedral. There will be a Te Deum arid Benediction at the cathedral. It was decided to hold a special service at the cathedral on the Sunday following the bishop's return, when a presentation will be made.
