ROTORUA NEWS

The closing of the season of the Mamaku Golf Club was marked by a successful ball held in the Mamaku Hall last week, visiting golfers being present from many other parts of the district. During the evening the prizes won throughout the season were presented by the wife of the president of tho Rotorua Golf Club, Mrs. E. la Trobe Hill. Prior to the presentation, the president of the club, Mr. J. McMillan, referred to the success of the competitions, and made particular mention of the improved standard of play. Among those present were Mesdames J. McMillan, J. Kilgour, J. Cov.pcr, E. L. Barker (Rotorua), Potter, Reeves, Dodd, Floyd, Campbell, F. Reid, Waterman, Morris, Walsh. Flemming, J. Sinims, C. Alcock, H. Goodrich, F. O. Underwood, R. Whiteficld, H. West, B. Kilgour, L. Mischeski, McCarthy and Yalse, and the Misses B. Ford, F. Cowlev, J. Coupe, 0. Whitfield, E. Bunting, A. Alcock, G. la Trobe Hill (Rotorua), A. Kilgour, G. West, 0. Bramble, T. Barker, 0. Jones, F. McCarthy, M, Walsh and E. King.
