With regard to the inter-area matches which wese decided upon at the annual general meeting, it was resolved that an effort be made to start these by March or April of next year. Forthcoming tournaments were advised as follows:—North Shore Club (Auckland), annual amateur summer tournament, December 27, 28 and 30, Castlecliff Club (Wangiuiui), Easter tournament, April 10, 11 and 13. During the day a handicap, medal round and Canadian foursomes were played. The medal round was won by Mrs. R. C. Smith (A grade) and Mrs. N. Clay (B grade) and the Canadian foursomes by Mrs. Clay and Mrs. Fortuno. HAMILTON SEASON CLOSED LADIES' FINAL COMPETITIONS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. "Wednesday The Hamilton Ladies' Golf Club officially closed its 1935 season 10-day. There was a large attendance of playing and honorary members. An L.G.'U. medal was played in the morning together witn a "mystery" competition. ■' The senior medal was won by Mrs. C. O. Bennett with a score of 89. 13—76, and the ■ junior medal by.Mrs. C. F. O'Connor, with a Bcore of 99, 25—74. Tho "mystery"* competition was won by Mrs. P. H. Sutton. The approaching and putting competition held in the afternoon was won by Miss J. Masters, and the long drive by Mrs. P. E. Dingle with 178 3-5 yards. The president of the club, Mrs. H. C. Koss, before presenting the trophies said the season had been a successful one, "and that a number of handicaps had been reduced. Sho thanked the captain, Mrs. G. W. Gower, the secretary, Mrs. W. M. Norton, and the committee for their co-opera-tion. Mrs. Ross congratulated the winners and thanked the donors of the trophies.
