CRICKET IN FIJI

TOUR BY AUCKLAND TEAM Considerable interest is being ovinced in Fiji in the proposed visit of a cricket team from New Zealand managed by Mr. F. C. Beale, states our Suva correspondent. It is Mr. Beale's intention to select a suitable team to visit Fiji in December, returning early in January. In additicto to the competition in Suva, in,which four teams take part, tho game attracts considerable' interest on the northern side of the main island of "Viti Leva, upon which Suva is situated. ; Ats Nadi, there is a team of Fijians which has a very fine record, nnd there are also several Fijians playing in Suva, includiijg' jt. F1 Thakobau, who played senior grade crirkot in Auckland a few seasons ago. The Fijians are very fond of the game, for which they have n great aptitude. Arrangements are already in hand for the entertainment of the New Zealanders, who are assured of a warm welcome.
