The baron, who bought uniforms in Hono- ■ lulu, made a claim that Anzac airmen !l| were ready to join his escadrille. Ho was. denied admission to the mainland : $4 of the United States and Canada. ' . fig It was explained yesterday by Mr. MM Harvey and Mr. Goodson that they had met Baron Dalkemade in Honolulu, where they were staying at the same '/i hotel. The baron had spoken to them about the Ethiopian Air Force, but they had never had any intention of joining. Although both of them had done f some flying, they were not army air- 'M men, and they stated that they would If; be useless if it came to flying in Ethiopia. Baron Dalkeniade, who wore no uniform on arrival yesterday, refused to make any comment on the cable message. Ho said his wife was waiting to 'M meet him, and that he was going to % Brown's Bay. The baron is described in the list of prominent passengers supplied by tho Lurline as follows:—" Soldier of for- 'M tune, en route to Ethiopia, where he \ will head the Ethiopian Air Force."
