PRIMARY SCHOOLS' UNION ■ \ The high standard of play revealed ii the Roller Mills Shield competition hcl in August at Eden Paik is commented 01 in the report, presented at the annual meet iner of the Auckland-Primary Schools' Rueb: Football Union. The final resulted in a dra\ between Auckland East and Auckland Cer tral. The entry of 10 teams was a recori and the games proved remarkably even. The winning teams in the inter-crou competitions were as follows:—Senior Rem •uera; intermediate.-jKowhai; junior. Owai raka. Eleven teams competed in the Calixtu Shield competition, Eden Park and Wesl era Suburbs playing a drawn game in th final. A junior representative match a Hamilton between a team from the Calistui Shield competition and a Hamilton side wa won by Auckland by 5 points to 3. Th match was most successful and it is hope* to make it' an annual event. The financial position of the union i satisfactory. The election of officers resulted as fol [ ow3 ; _president Mr. J. W.
