EXPLOSION IN BEDROOM

DEATH OF WIDOWER VERDICT AT INQUEST The adjourned inquest into the death of Alfred Luke Donnelly, aged 48, widower, of 2 Upper Queen Street, who was found dead in his room on Tuesday morning, followirtg an explosion, was concluded before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, yesterday afternoon. Evidence was given previously by Patrick Louis Donnelly, a brother of deceased, that he had never seen any explosives about the house, although deceased was an expert in their use. In evidence yesterday, Constable McKinney said he was called to the house following the explosion.. Deceased was terribly injured about the head, and the room was filled with cordite fumes. There was no trace of the explosive. A verdict of suicide was returned.
