DEPARTURE THIS EVENING

Pleasing impressions of New Zealand have been gathered by Bishop J. M. Aubin, S.M., who was recently consecrated in Wellington as Roman Catholic Bishop of the Southern Solomons. Accompanied by tho Rev. Father D. Coicaud, ho will leave Auckland by the Lnrline early this evening for Sydney, en route to his headquarters at Bisao, in the Solomon Islands, where ho has spent 28 years serving the Church. Bishop Aubin's consecration in New Zealand was a further link in tho chain of association between his Order and the Dominion. The founder of the mission in the Solomons wns Bishop JCpalle, whoy* prior work been among the Maoris at Whangaroa, and the successor to Bishop Kpnlle was Bishop Collumb. who was the first bishop to hi> consecrated in New Zealand. Tho ceremony took place at Kororareka. Both bishops belonged to tho same order as Bishop Aubiu.
