PUKEKOIIE, Friday

A substantial increase in membership of the Automobile Association (Auckland) in the Franklin district is mentioned by the chairman of the Franklin agency, Mr. H. Curd, in the report to be presented at the annualTneeting of the agency at Fukekohe next Wednesday night.

Actually, 110 new members had been enrolled, but owing to deaths and other causes the net increase had been 64, making tho present membership 812. Numerous new road signs had been erected, and representations to local bodies and private property-owners had resulted in improved visibility and better alignments. Tho information bureau had experienced another busv year.
