TEA PARTY AND CONCERT

ST. PAUL'S SUNDAY SCHOOLS The annual tea party and concert, for the children of St. Paul's Presbyterian Sunday schools, at Devonport and Stanley Bay, was held in the Church Street hall this week. Hie concert commenced with items by the primers, the tiny tots being heard in songs, choruses and recitations. Individual items were given by Betty Tainsh (song), Eric Parsons (pianoforte solo), .Joan Wilson (recitation), Joan Naughton (song), Shirley Maseman (pianoforte solo), Rae Malone (recitation), and Joy Rowley (recitation). " Fairy Messengers," a missionary playette, was presented by girls of the " busy bees." The part of Alice was taken by Betty Tainsh, while Pattie McFarland, Sybil Poole, Ruth Godley and Betty Scott were the fairies. The senior girls from Stanley Bay followed in a play, " Annie'R Holiday." Those taking part were: —Christine Anderson, Marv McKechnie, Maureen New, Marie Fisher, Carol Fisher, Eileen Green and Phyllis Manson.

The boy choristers rendered, with fine effect, several sea chanties. " Soot and the Fairies," a fantasy, was given by about 40 of the scholars in a capable manner.
