WAGES OF TRAMWAYMEN

Sir, —It is surprising to read that the wages of niotormen weekly is at a minimum of £5 2s 9cl and conductors £4 18s 9d, plus freo uniforms and passes. I do not wonder the board has to turn down every request made by the public for reduction of fares. It is a question whether the board has net been too liberal and against public interest. Ratepayer.
