WAITEMATA GOLF
ANNUAL DANCE HELD The Waitemata Golf Club's annual dance, which was held in the Masonic Hall, Devonport, last night, was a great success. The hall was attractively hung with cascades of wide streamers in the club colours, green and gold, and clumps of arum lilies and foliage were arranged round the walls. An adjoining room which wa3 used for bridge was draped with flags of all nations. The supper room was particularly well decorated with vases of Iceland poppies and asparagus fern arranged on the tables and with streamers entwining the pillars. . The president. Mrs. G. Gnbbm, who wore a frock of black clustered satm, received the guests. Among those present were:—Mrs. Carl Prime (captain), who wore a frock of turquoise chiffon velvet; Mrs. Leo Prime, lime green taffeta; Mrs. A. Carnahan, Naples blue novelty taffeta; Mrs A. E. Alison, royal blue embossed velvet; Mrs. A. Wall, black marocain and tulle; Mrs. A. Clyde, black tulip moss crepe; Mrs A. T. Griffiths, petunia pink floral georgette; Mrs. Gavnor Jackson, Marina blue Chantilly lace; Mrs. Jack Auhin, black ring velvet and sequins; Mrs. H. J. Wilson, black taffeta threaded with silver; Mrs. J. Tyree, black georgette; Mrs. W. O. Beaumont, black floral chiffon; Mrs. L'. Procter, spin-drift green romaine and silver kmc; Mrs. H. Bower, beige Chantillv lace; Mrs. D. Hallum, pink floral georgette; Mrs. L. Brookes, green figured crepe de chine; Mrs. F. Langley, mulberry ring velvet; Mrs. A. Garden, sea green moss crepe and sequins; Mrs. E. Staples, black marocain; Mrs. R. Challinor, black georgette; Mrs. G. IT. Letherbv, black marocain and lace; Mrs. Alec Allan, Lido blue georgette; Mrs. H. Manning, cicl blue marocain; Mrs. J. McDougall, midnight blue georgette; Mrs. E. P. Titcbener, salmon pink souple satin; Mrs. H. R. Moore, lemon satin beaute; Mrs. C. Beck, tartan taffeta. Miss Z. Marks wore black souple satin; Miss Marjorie Watson, white cheek organdie; Miss E. Alison, Burgundy chiffon velvet; Miss N. Letherbv, black angelskin lace; Miss Peggy Trayes, ecrn Chantillv lace; Miss D. Let her by, scarlet crepe de chine; Miss Muriel McDougall, pompadour pink angelskin lace; Miss Eileen Hogan, shell pink lace and satin coatee; Miss V. Dowell, white floral organdie; Miss Jean Gray, pink floral net; Miss N. Burgess, black georgette and sequins; Miss Jean Drummond, jubilee blue moss crepe; Miss Doreen O'Leary, blue shot taffeta; Miss Elsie Cruller, black suede crepe.
