SALES UNDER VALUATION ACT
o The Valuation Department is offering for disposal to the public a number of properties in respect of which the owners have served upon the ValuerGeneral a notice requiring him either to reduce the capital value or to acquire the. properties on behalf of the Crown or cause thorn to be sold at the ligure named by the owners as their estimate of the capital values. Prior to an amendment of the Valuation of Land Act, passed in 1933, a dissatisfied owner could call on tho Valuation Department to either reduce the value or tnko over the property at the owner's estimate of value. In 1933, however, the right of acquiring the property at the owner's valuation was extended to the general public. Details are advertised.
