GRAFTON ROAD EXITS

Sir, —I am glad to see that the City Council has decided to widen the footpaths on the bridge. I have wondered whether it would he also feasible to I construct a footpath with a low level wooden footbridge connecting Moehau Street, oft Grafton Road, with the new street being formed at the foot of Whitaker Place. This would be of great benefit to residents living halfway between Grafton Bridge and Blandford Park. At present, in order to catch trams, one is obliged to walk up Grafton Road and across the bridge, or else down and up the steep hill behind St. Paul's Church. It would also provide a short cut to the Town Hall, via Airedale Street. Df.bruno.
