CONTRACT BRIDGE

PASCOE CUP CONTEST The seventh round of the Pascoe Cup competition for contract bridge in duplicate was held in tho ropms of the Auckland Bridge Club on Tuesday evening, 24 pairs competing. Tho winners were: North-South, Dr. Moir and Dr. Friedlander; runners-up, Mrs. Pritchnrd and Mr. Cavendish. East-West, Mrs. Shroff and Mr. Hosking; runners-up, Mrs. Cleghorn and Miss Somervell. Only two more rounds are to be played in the competition, and the position of the leading teams is now as follows: —Mrs. Pritchard and Mr. Cavendish, 57.49 per cent; Mrs. Shroff and Mr. Hosking, 55.02 per cent; Dr. Moir and Dr. Friedlander, 54.59 per cent.
