TE AROHA COMPETITION [from our own correspondent] TE AROHA, Monday The Te Aioha Racing Pigeon Club flew its fourth old birds race on Saturday from Levin, over a course of 216 miles, in perfect weather. The time was 4h 35m. Results:— H. Cranch's No. 170. 1389 yds a minute, 1: W. Forrest's No. 168. 1376 yds, 2: P. Bygrave's No. 34, 1375 yds, 3. PUKEMIRO JUNCTION CLUB , The Pukemiro Junction Racing Pigeon Club held a race from Hunterville, a distance of 163 miles. Results:—Mr. J, Gnrrick's entry, 1386 yds per min., IMr. ,T. Gnrrick's entry, I:sß3yds, '2; Mr. J. Garrick's entry, 1383 yds, 3; Mr. J. Lawson's entry, 1380 yds, 4; Mr. A. Block's entry. 1379 yds. 5. EVENT FROM FEILDING [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday The Hamilton Homing Pigeon Club contested a race on Saturday from Feilding, an airline distance of 170 miles. Results:— W, G. Pountney, 1356 yards a minute, 1: C. Crabb, 1350 yards, 2; F. Woodhall, 1348 yards, 3: J. Martin. 1346 yards, 4, The race was a very fust one, seconds separating many of the eirly arrivals. The weather conditions were excellent for racing and no losses occurred. The competing birds numbered 109. THE WHANGAREI CLUB [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Tuesday The Whangarei Homing Pigeon Club held a race from Te Kuiti during the week-end. 33 birds taking part. The weather was good. Results:—Mr. W. Griffiths, 1258 yards a minute, lj Mr. D. Wilson, 1254 yards, 2: Mr. T. Sketchley, 1224 yards, 3.
