FIELD FOR POLO
■ CLAUDELANDS SHOWGROUND [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday An agreement to lease to the Auckland Provincial Polo Association the' area of land inside the trotting course at the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association's show grounds at Claudelands was confirmed at a meeting of the association's executive today. The details of the lease had been previously agreed to at a conference of representatives of the association, the Trotting Club and the Polo Association. It was decided to give the Polo Association the full use of the ground for 10 vears, and to review the question of rent at the expiration of that period, the lease to run for a term of 21 years. It was also decided to cancel the existing lease held by the Trotting Club, which has 8} years to run, and to issue a new lease of 21 years. Permission to erect a small hall on the show grounds was granted to the First Claudelands Boy Scout Group.
