WESTERN AUSTRALIA PERTH. Sept. 18 Thousands of emus are again invading the north-eastern farming districts of Western Australia and requests are being made for a supply of machineguns to deal with the menace. The emus have heaten down large-areas of crops. / The Northampton Road Board, whose territory is near Geraldton, has paid for more than 4000 head of destroyed emus and required four tons of wood to burn the beaks and heads of those brought in for the bonus.
