VICTORIA LEAGUE

PRESIDENT HONOURED DANCE AT THE PETER PAN Fragrant with spring flowers and gaily decorated with red, white and blue streamers, the Peter Pan Cabaret made a delightful setting for a dance given last evening by the girls' committee of the Victoria League in honour of Miss Mowbray, the.League's president, 011 the occasion of Iter birthday. Prior to the commencement of the dance gifts of flowers were made to Miss Mowbray and to Mrs. L. S. Rickerby by the men's committee, and later a small presentation was made to Miss Mowbray by the girls' committee. In the supper room the tables were arranged with laclianalias and freesias, while pride of place was given to a large birthday cake, which was cut by the guest of honour. On arrival Miss Mowbray, who was wearing a frock of black Chantilly lace over silver lame, was received by Mrs. Kicker by, chairman of the girls' committee, who wore black cire satin relieved with diamante. The dance committee comprised:— Miss Mary Cruickshank, who wore midnight blue georgette and lace with cerise flowers; Miss Marjorie Cerutty, in pale cyclamen crepe threaded with silver; Miss Joan Charlton, blue floral taffeta; Miss Allison Laery, floral georgette relieved with gold lame; Miss Kay Spriggb, water-lily green frilled taffeta; Miss E. Hutchison, black lace with shoulder spray of scarlet flowers; Miss H. Eraser, blue sprigged organdie; Miss M. Hutchison, ciel blue floral georgette; Miss H. Hardley, apricot ring velvet; Miss Dina Isaacs, white and gold flat crepe:. Miss Althea Morley, cornflower bluo organdie; Miss J. Thomson, cameo pink angelskin lace; Miss Joy Bishop, foxglove pink crepe suede; Miss Reka Paterson, black crepe suede. Assisting them were Mr. Townley Little, chairman of the men's committee, Mr. Jack Cochrane, secretary, Mr. J. Copsey and Mr. R. Hammond.
