YACHT RACING
HOWICK CLUB'S OFFICERS A decision to hold separate races this season for 14ft. and 18ft. boats if sufficient entries are received, was made at the annual meeting of thn Howick Sailing Club. It was also decided to hold one race on the Waitomata and lour at Howick at monthly intervals. The following officers were elected; —Patron, Mr. brnest Davis; vice-patron, Mr. W. W. Massey, MP.; president, Mr. A. Cherry; commodore, Mr. J A Kyd; vice-commodore, Mr. J Dickson; secretary and treasurer, M iss 11 Mills; general committee. Miss A. Cave, Messrs. J. Barber, G. C. Bnile.\ and W. B. White Mr. A. Donovan has sold his 16ft. S class boat Mistral to Mr. E. Morton, of Epsom. The first of a series ot lectures on the rule of the road for the benefit of th.' younger yachtsmen will be delivered by Mr. T. McKnight, in the Akarana Yacht Club rooms next Wednesday evening. The 16ft S class boat Scimitar, lately owned by Mr J. C. Mitchell, has been sold bv Messrs. McGarry and Company to Mr K. Aimer. Mr. L. Astley has purchased the 22ft. keel yacht Irene. The 26ft. launch Eileen Patricia has been sold by Mr. A. Donovan to Mr. P. Walker, of Papatoetoe,
