DANGER ON GRAFTON BRIDGE

Sir, —Our thanks to the City Council for its prompt attention to this matter. One thinks, however, that your correspondent Air. Thorncs is wrong in urging the keep-to-the-left rule. Keeping to the left and to the right is uniformity of direction and facing the traffic. This is obtained in Queen Street by keeping to the left, and on Grafton Bridge to the right. No doubt people should look round before stepping off a path, but there are many too tired or lazy to do so, and many too indifferent. Richard S. Jardin.
