PROFESSIONAL CONTEST LINDRUM STILL IN LEAD Tho fifth day of the ten days' professional billiards contest between Walter Lindrum, of Australia, and Clark McConachy, of Now Zealand, saw no change in the relative positions of the contestants, Lindrum still loading by over 400 points. The afternoon session produced one fine break by Lindrum of 478 and thiß, with an additional 170, gave him a handy advantage over his opponent. McConachy, however, played consistently and his score also mounted rapidly with the help of breaks of 180 and 223, The scores at the end of the session were as follows:—Lindrum, 6494: McConachy, 5894. Tho evening session was marked by consistent form by both players, Lindrum producing breaks of 293, 174 and 105 to Mctonachy's 191, 187 and 330. McConachy thus reduced his deficit considerably. The final scores wereLindrum, 7110 (in play); McConachy, 6704.
