SECTION IN DIRTY STATE
OLD MAN PROSECUTED [from ouu own con respondent! HAMILTON, Monday A charge of creating a nuisance was brought against John McLean, an elderly man, in the Hamilton I'olico Court to-day. Defendant denied the charge. Mr. F. A. Swarbrick, for the Hamilton Borough Council, said defendant would not go into the Old Men's Home. John William Lewis, inspector of nuisances at Hamilton, said defendant lived in an old, dilapidated cottage in Clyde Street. The cottage stood on a small section, on which defendant kept a horse. There was 110 grazing, and the section was in a filthy condition. The magistrate adjourned the caso for a fortnight and ordered McLean to get rid of the horse.
