PROPOSED INVITATION ASSOCIATION DEFERS DECISION [IIT TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Tuesday Tho council of the New Zealand Amateuif Athlif tic Association deferred for one month a request from the Otago Centre for permission to invite three Victorian athletes to tour the district during the Christmas holidays. The chairman. Mr. H. Austad. said thero was a very vital matter of policy involved. He ftilt thtilt Rood would come out of the tour, but thought consideration should he deferred until next meeting, when the question of a tour of New Zealand by an overnem team would be discussed, together with thci policy in regard to major tours.
