TURUA FARMER'S LOSS t " [BT TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] THAMES. Friday The four-roomed cottage of Mr. R. W. Wayne at Turua was destroyed by fire on Tuesday night when the owner was visiting a. neighbour. There was a heavy gale blowing at the time, and it is thought that a spark from the fire in the grate ignited something. The cottage was insured for £75, but there was 119 insurance on the furniture.

Two of tho rooms were used for storage purposes, and they contained seed, harness and farm implements, making the owner's loss tho greater.
