FLIGHT TO CANADA

CAMPBELL BLACK'S PLANS SPECIAL NEW MACHINE British Wireles9 RUGBY, Aug. 29 Mr. Campbell Black, the British airman who, with Mr. C. W. A. Scott, won the Melbourne Centenary air race, is visiting Ireland to select an aerodrome from which to start on a flight to Canada and back. This is one of four long-distance flights which he plans to make in the near future in his new improved Comet monoplane Boomerang. Two special Gipsy six 223-horse power motors are now being prepared. The machine should have a range of nearly 3000 miles in still air on one fuel load. The return journey across the North Atlantic Ocean may be accomplished in little more than 24 hours.
