Aug. 30 Latest reports from the region in which the Communist bandits, under the notorious Ho Lung, are holding the two missionaries, Messrs. A. Hayman and R. A. Bosshardt, in the Hunan province, provide dim hopes of their early release. The bandits, apparently flushed by the success of their recent drive toward Changten and their capture of the cities of Shihmen and Tzeli, are now demanding a greatly increased ransom over what they previously agreed to take, according to the British Embassy. ,
