TAKAPUNA TENNIS CLUB
BRIDGE EVENING HELD Over 35 tables were engaged in various card games at the bridge evening held by members of the Takapuna Tennis Club in „the Auckland Gas Company's hall on Tuesday. The hall was arranged with bowls of arum lilies and freesias, while baskets of lachenalia hung from the ceiling. The president, Mr. J. W. Williamson, made a short speech, and Mrs. Williamson presented the prizes. The prizewinners were as follows: —Auction, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Moir; contract, Mr. Hunt; mail jong, Miss M. Black; five hundred, Mr. N. Stevenson. The guests were received by the secretary, Mrs. E. Everest, who was assisted by a coni-
