"WAIT AND 3EI" ADVICE OF MR. COATES "Yon will have to wait and see what the Budget discloses," said the Minister of Finance, Mr. Coates, when asked at tho week-end if the Government had in view any taxation reduction plans or proposals for wages restorations. Mr. Coates said ho was not prepared to comment on tho possible date of the general election. A number of important matters such as housing and companies legislation amendment would be discussed in the forthcoming session, but although they were important ho did not think tho.v wero contentious.
