QUEEN CARNIVAL ENDS
CORONATION AT NORTHCOTE The Northcote District High School queen carnival was brought to a close last night with the coronation ceremony, under the direction of Miss Bottina Edwards, in the King's Theatre at Northcote. There was a large attendance, and the spectacular function was greatly enjoyed. The queen was Aliss Karen Dare-Jones, of Birkenhead, and the princesses wore Aliss Patricia Grady, of Northcote, Aliss Patricia Holy, of Glenfield, and Aliss June Hilder, of Birkdale. The graceful execution of the minuet and folk dances reflected credit upon Aliss AL Hoyle, hv whom the girls were trained. The numbers by the choir, under Airs. AI. Franklin, were enthusiastically applauded. Ths accompanist was Aliss L. A. Hardie.
