OPOURIAO COMPANY'S YEAR BUTTER OUTPUT INCREASED [nV TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHAKATANE. Thnrsclny Tho 35th annual meeting of shareholders in the Opourino Dairy Company, Limited, was held yesterday, Air. W. Rcid presiding over 150 shareholders. During the season advances for first grado cheese have been made at 8d per lb. butter-fat. There is l£d per lb. available for distribution, making a total of 9«d per lb. over the whole season, Jd of which will bo applied in payment of share capital. Advances on butter-fat for buttermaking have varied from 8d per lb. for first. There is sufficient money in hand to bring payments up to 8d per lb. for advances throughout the season and to make a further payment of Id per lb., making a total of 9d per lb. over the whole season, $d of which will be applied in payment of share capital. The quantity of cheoso made was 963 tons, and that of butter 93 tons. Jhe production of cheese was slightly less than that of the previous season, but more butter was manufactured, with the result that suppliers received more this year for butter-fat, the small increase in tho price also contributing to this result. Tho debt on the factories is being reduced by £3OOO a year, and after the present payment is made the debt will be reduced to £2864, but in addition there is a debt on the old factory and on the plant. Interest payments, however, have been reduced over a period of years from £I6OO a year to £2so<
