PRESENTATION
Mr. A. Zberg, who has been foreman to the Hauraki Plains County Council , for the past three years, and who has resigned to go into business at Kaiaua, was entertained by the office staff an members of the outside staff of the council at Thames on Saturday, i" county clerk, Mr. E. A. Ma honey, referred to Mr. Zberg's long and faithful service as a council employee over 16 years. Mr. Mahoney presented Mr* Zberg with a case containing a pip<?» and a leather tobacco pouch. Mr. Zberg thanked the staff for their gift and for their consideration and kindness wnue ho had been in the council's employ. The instructional staff and pupils or the Te Aroha Technical School gathered on Tuesday evening to bid farewell to Mr. C. Caradus, who for the past three and a-half years has been in cliarg® of the school and is on promotion to Auckland. Mr. Welch an Miss Robinson, representing respectively the boys and girls, appro* ciative reference to Mr. Caradus' wor&i and on behalf of the staff and pup" B presented him with a camera.
