Sir Benjamin Fuller will leave by the Marama to-day for Sydney. The Hon. Eliot R. Davis, M.L.C., re. turned from Wellington yesterday. Mr. W. R. Brinsley, of Bunedin, arrived j'estcrdoy on a visit to Auckland. Mr. F. W, Johnston, who has been president of the South Island Motor Union for five years, has announced his retirement. Mr. W. P. Morgan, of Dunedin, district lands registrar for Otago, ] )as retired after 39 years' service with the Government. Mr. L. Alderton, a member of the Transport Co-ordination Board, returned from Wellington by train yesterday morning. Mr. R. J. Larkin. of Victoria University College, Wellington, has been elected president of the New Zealand University Students' Association. Major .T. Buckley, managing director of C. and E. Morton, Limited, of London, has returned to Auckland from the South. He is at the Grand Hotel. Sir Apirnna Ngata arrived from the South by the limited express yesterday morning. He is accompanied by Lady Ngata, and they are at the Central Hotel. Mr. Cecil Mason, general manager for Columbia Pictures in Australia and New Zealand, who has betn visiting Auckland, will return South by car to-day. Mr. L. A. Quinn. an executive of the Fuller-Ha.vward Picture Corporation, returned to Wellington by train last evening after a business visit to Auckland. T)r. A. H: Pearce, chief medical officer to thp Government of Fiji, wii leave by the Marama to-day for Sydney to attend the medical conference in Australia. Sir Lennon Paws, managing director of Imperial Chemical Industries in Australia and New Zealand, left Wellington for Sydney on Tuesday by the Maunganui. Mr. W. T. Ikin. of Wellington, general manager in New Zealand for the Australian Mutual Provident Society, will leave by the Marama today on a visit to Australia. Mr. W. G. Adams, manager of the Ngarunwahia branch of the Bank of New Zealand, accompanied by Mrs. Adams, will leave by the Marama today on a holiday visit to Australia. Mr. R. M. Firth, tvho has been appointed the New Zealand Government's first Trade and Tourist CommFssioner for Western America, left Auckland yesterday by the Niagara for Vancouver. Mr. Firth's headquarters will be at Los Angeles. " \
