WARSHIPS' MOVEMENTS

DIOMEDE RETURNS TO-DAY After an Islands cruise of over two months H.M.S. Diomede, commanded by Captain Cosmo Graham, will arrive back at Auckland at 8.30 this morning. Her itinerary has included calls at Nukualofa, Vavau, Rarotongn, Moorca, Papeete, Bora Bora, Penryhn, Puka Puka, Pago Pago, Apia and Suva. H.M.S. Duncdin will return from her cruise on August 30 and H.M.S. Wellington and H.M.S. Loith will arrive on September 21. The minesweeper Wakakura and the battle practice target, which have been in Calliope Dock for overhaul for some days, will undock next Tuesday.
