LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

The Bayswater-Be 1 mont league of Mothers hold its annual meeting last week, Mrs. W. Verran presiding. Six new members were welcomed. Competitions were won by Mrs. F. Hutchin and Mrs. J. Shutz. Tea was served by Mrs. Kitchinmnu, Mrs. Bowell, Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. T. Charlton and Mrs. Chapman. The election ot officers resulted:— President, Mrs. W. Verran; vice-presi-dent, Mrs. ,J. Shutz; secretary, Mrs. M. Hawksworth; librarian, Mrs. Saxon; tea hostess, Mrs. F. Drew; committee, Mrs. T. McCarthy, Mrs. Strong, Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. F. West, Mrs. Chapman, Mrs. T. Charlton and Mrs. N. Carhill. Waimauku. —The branch hold its annual meeting recently. Mrs. T. Charter presided, but Mrs. S. O. English. provincial president, took the chair for the nomination of officers. Piano and vocal solos given by Mrs. Reid and Miss N. Hnnna (Auckland) were enjoyed. Tho hostesses wero Mrs. H. H. Hutchings and Mrs. L. Wightman. The election of officers resulted: — President. Mrs. T. Charter; vice-presi-dents, Mcsdames T. Kerr Taylor. J. Copeland and C. A. Jackson; secretary, Mrs. A. Burrell; committee, Mesdnmcs J. Martin, Morrison, Lo Heron, Walker, L. Wightman and A. Wintour.
