SYDNEY ROBBERY
NEW DEVELOPMENT OCCURS ALLEGED ACCOMPLICE CHARGED (Received August 8, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Auk. 8 Mention of the robbery in Dnrlinghurst yesterday was made in tho Polico Court to-day when Kenneth Charles O'Connoll, aged 31, ar plasterer, was charged with having stolen £690, the property of Mr. John Wilson. Detective Boswoll said it had been stated that defendant and Mr. Wilson, when carrying the money from the bank, had been confronted by another man who threw pepper in O'Connell's eyes, assaulted Mr. .Wilson, and made off with tho money. Tho polico now alleged that O'Connoll was in tho plot, and actually did not receive any pepper in hiß eyes. Defendant was remanded, bail of £IOOO being allowed. It was stated in a cablegram yesterday that O'Connoll, whose name was then given as O'Connor, was a motorriar agent 'for a city firm, and had accompanied Mr. Wilson to the bank, where tho latter had drawn £G9(), which ho intended to invest in tho purchase of two taxi-cabs. While the two men woro walking from the bank to a motor-car, it was stated, a bandit threw pepper in O'Connor's eyes, and made off with the bag containing the money.
