Eastern. Tasman Sea: Northwesterly winds, moderate generally at first, with smooth, to moderate seas winds gradually freshening and seas rising in the southern portion. The weather should be fine generally, but a few isolated showers are likely on the west coast of the South Island and in the far south, and later skies clouding over in western areas from Taranaki southwards. A cold night, but temperstures becoming gradually milder during the nest two days. SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST FINE AND MILDER CONDITIONS The Government meteorologist issued to the Hebald last evening the follow, ing special forecast for the Auckland Province: —Moderate south - westerly winds, veering to west and later to north-westerlies. The weather Is likely to be fair to fine and becoming milder but an isolated shower or two likely on the coast. Seas smooth to moderate. v" YESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland.—Several light showers fell yesterday, but the weather was generally fine. Dunedin. —Fine weather with bright sunshine and a light north-east breeze was experienced yesterday. The maximum temperature was 54 degrees.
