TONNAGE RECORD MADE FOUR OVERSEAS VESSELS [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] NEW PLYMOUTH. Thursday A tonnage record for the port of New Plymouth was created to-day, whtin four overseas vessels were berthed. The ships were the Tamaroa, the Doric Star, the Port Huon and the Hauraki, of a total tonnage of 37,929, exceeding Ity 4019 tons the previous record established in February, 1933. To-day's record was made possible by tho diverting of the Port Huon from Wanganui on account of rough seas off the river port. •
