CONTEST IN NOVEMBER As replies had not been received from all who had been approached tho question of appointing an adjudicator for the B, C and D grade band contest in Auckland on November 23 and 24 was deferred at a meeting of tho executive of the Auckland Provincial Brass Bands' Association on Wednesday night. The appointment will be mado at a general meeting of the association on Wednesday. It was decided that "Gems of Wagner" should be the test selection for B grade bands, and that the hymn and march for tho B grade and the test selection, and the hymn and march for tho O and D grade should bo of tho bands' own clioico. No solo competitions will bo held in any grade.
