NEXT ELECTION

AMERICAN POLITICS PROBABLE THIRD PARTY MR. H. P. LONG'S DEFECTION By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright NEW YORK, July 25 The possibility that Mr. Huey P. Long, Democrat member of the Senate for Louisiana, may head a third party in opposition to President Roosevelt at the next election was indicated to-day in one of the Senator's characteristic announcements. Mr. Long said: "I know President Roosevelt is no good. He is a faker. He promises everything and gives nothing. I would bolt from any convention that nominated him for President. "I may not go'to the Democrat convention. Wo may have a Democrat convention of our own. I am willing to join any party, Republican, Democrat or anything else that will put over my ' share the wealth ' programme. " Mr. Roosevelt's ' new deal 1 has the worst features of Fascism, concentrated wealth. Communism and Socialism without any of the good features of any of these."
