TO POLISH SHELLS
Shells are becoming more and more useful in handicraft work, but their full beauty is only revealed after polishing. Soak a flannel in spirits of salt for a moment, and rub the shell to remove the dull outer skin, repeating tho process several times if necessary. Then wash thoroughly in hot water. Dry and rub with a cloth dipped in olive oil and whiting. Finish with a silk duster.
