ARMED ROBBERY

BUTCHER CONVICTED ! SEVEN YEARS IN GAOL MELBOURNE. June 27 David Brown, aged 20. a butcher, was sentenced to-day to seven years' imprisonment lor robbery under arms of two bank officials in broad daylight in a busy Melbourne street on April 5, when a sum of £1725 was stolen. Mr. Justice Martin described the crime as " particularly audacious and successful." He said to Brown: " You cannot play a desperate game with impunity." Brovcn's two companions in the holdup have not been traced yet.
