OUT OF DEPRESSION

ARGENTINA'S RISE POSITIVE RESULTS SHOWN , LONDON. Juue 26 Definite improvement in the economic conditions of Argentina is indicated in a report by Mr. S. G. Irving, commercial counsellor of the British Embassy at Buenos Aires, submitted to the Department of Overseas Trade. Mr. Irving states that 1934 marked the Republic's emergence from the trough of depression in which it had been engulfed since the collapse of the world's economic structure, steady effort both by the Government and the people having begun to show positive results at last. During the year ended June 30, 1934, United Kingdom exports to Argentina increased by £1.500,000 over the corresponding period of .1932-33. It was hoped there would be a further increase of Argentine purchases from the United Kingdom in 1935.
