VISIT TO ROME

PARTY OF CATHOLIC CLERGY The Rev. Fathers D. Hurley, A. Burger, A. Herring and .T. O'Connor will leave Auckland by the Akaroa today to attend the general chapter of the Marist Order in Rome, where they •will represent the province of Australia and New Zealand. Father Hurley, whose headquarters are in Wellington, is the New Zealand provincial of the Order. Father Burger is rector of St. Bede's College, Christchurch, and Father O'Connor is parish priest at St. Mary's, Boulcott Street, Wellington. Father Herring, who is dtatioued in Brisbane, is superior of the Marist Missions in Australia. It is expected that the members of the party will return to New Zealand before Christmas. After touring j n Europe some of them will probably make the homeward journey through the United States.
