STRANDED KETCH
POSITION OF TE HANGI VESSEL MORE SECURE [BY TELEGRAFH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] KAITAIA, Wednesday The ketch Te Hangi, -which went ashore at Ahipara on the southern end of the Ninety-Mile Beach on Tuesday morning, is lying near high-water mark and although at high tide waves break over the vessel she is suffering little damage. There is still a strong wind from the west, but the seas are not so high as they were yesterday. On Monday, when spring tides will occur, the be hauled up further on the beach where she can rest secure. There is little hope of the vessel being refloated until conditions become more settled. A lot of work will have to be carried out on the hull before tha craft is ready to put to sea.
