SLIP ON MAIN TRUNK

SECOND MINOR* BLOCKAGE EXPRESS TRAINS UNAFFECTED [BY TELEGBArH —OWN" CORRESPONDENT] TAUMARUNUI, Wednesday Another slip occurred on the Main Trunk line between Taumarunui and Taringamutu this morning, shortly after the passing of the north-bound express. The fall of debris was on the samo spot as that on the previous day, and was not unexpected. The train for Frankton which leaves Taumarunui at 7 a.m. and connects with the train for Stratford at Okahukura, met the slip on the way north and the trip had to be cancelled. A motor-bus was sent from Taumarunui to convey the Taranaki passengers to Okahukura and to connect with the Stratford line. Meanwhile, a relief gang was despatched and the line was clear again by 10 a.m. There was no further delay to trains to-day. No express trains were affected.
