Mrs. Eric Riddiford, of Orongorongo, has left on a motor tour of Hawke's Bay. Mrs. D. A. Aiken, of Wellington, will be a passenger by the Niagara to-day lor Suva. Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland and is at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. La nee Stevens, of Fendalton, Christchurch, will leave by the Niagara to-day to visit America. Miss M. Fleming and Miss E. M. Game, of Grafton, will leave by the Niagara to-day to visit Suva. Lady Mitchelson, Mrs. Roy Wilson and Mrs. Noel Airey, will leave by the Niagara this morning to visit Honolulu. Mrs. L. K. C. Bevir, wife of Commander K. C. Bevir, H.M.S. Lcith, will be a passenger by the Niagara this morning for Suva. Mrs. G. de Labiliiere, wife of Sur-geon-Commander G. de Labiliiere, H.M.S. Leith, will leave by the Niagara to visit Suva. Mrs. W. G. Goggin and Miss C. M. Crawford, Hongkong, Mrs. P. Clark, Dunedin, and Miss Helen Seilley, Sydney, £.re at the Station Hotel. The Lady Evelyn Drummond, wife of Commodore the Hon. E. R. Drummond, will leave Auckland by the Niagara this morning for Honolulu. Mrs. Frank Steans, of Opawa, will accompany her husband to Suva for the bowling tournament. She will leave Auckland by the Niagara this morning. Overseas visitors at the Grand Hotel include Mrs. Eric Hine and Mrs. Gordon Pirie, Sydney, Mrs. Walter Binks, Melbourne, Miss Porter and Miss M. O'Hegarty, London. Mrs;. Adela Molvnieux, Melbourne, is visiting Northlands, the home of Mrs. Gladys Samson, Bay of Islands. She is accompanied by her niece and nephew, Miss Penelope and Mr. Paul Molvnieux. Mrs. Barr-Brown, Wellington, Mrs. A. Gane and Miss G. R. Gane, Cambridge, Mrs. A. AY. McKegg and Miss I. G. Habner, Lake Wanaka, and Miss J. D. Elliott. Te Awamutu, are at the Central Hot-el. Mrs. Gumbleton and Miss Shelagh Gumbleton have let their home in Clonbern Road for five months and are staying at Wentworth Private Hotel for a few weeks before leaving on a trip to China and Japan. Mrs. W. E. Waterhouse and Miss M. Waterhouse, Wellington, Mrs. Memoes, Kumara, West Coast, Mrs. Rhodes, Te Awamutu, Miss V. Pexton, Adelaide, Miss Muirhead, Headley, England, are at the Hotel Cargen. Mi:ss H. E. Fountain, organising secretary, and Miss D. J. Dannefaerd, lion, secretary, of the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission, returned to Auckland yesterday after a three months' tour of the South Island in the interests of the missi on.

At a meeting of women held in the Town Hall supper room, Whangarei. it was decided to form a Whangarei branch of the Alothers' Union. The Ala.voress, Airs. W. Jones, presided oyer a large attendance. The following officers were elected for the first year:—President. Airs. J. A. Inkster; vice-president, Airs. AA T . Jones; secretary and treasurer, Airs. D. L. Ross; committee, Alesdames N. E. Crimp, S. H. Ward, L. J. Brake, R. L. S. Tudeliope, J. T. Evans. R. T. Tudehope, W. Stewart. A. O'Hara, Clinton Jones and F. W. Reid. The Remuera Croquet Club held the second of a series of bridge afternoons in the club pavilion last -week. Mrs. Daniels (the president), welcomed the visitors. Among those present were: Alesdames Hanna, Blenkensop, Reid, Ellerbeck. Norton. Cunning, AA'ebber, Badeley, Sommerville, Harvey, Bowden, Alarks," Allen, Keys, Katterfelt, Gardner, Broad, Burrett. Cross. Chapman, Watts, Willcocks, Jotson, Coutts, Brabant, Peacocke, Shepperd, Bassett, Coltman, Bray, Murray, Maxfield, Canavan, Innes, Wight, Misses Sloman, Skeet, Stevenson, Hodge, Wooller. Prizes presented by Aliss Stevenson and Airs. Coltman were won by Alesdames Cross and Katterfelt. At the monthly meeting of the Otabuhu Social Service Association an executive committee was formed consisting of Airs. C. R. Petrie (Mayoress), Alesdames J. J. Graham (representing the Catholic Church), T. W. Nied (Church of England), Slade (Baptists Church), Shepherd (Alethodist Church), AleTvor (Presbyterian Church), Airs. Captain Creighton (Salvation Army). It was decided not to hold a clothes drive, but to appeal to parishioners to forward to their respective churches anything suitable for renovations. Needy cases will be asked to apply to their minister, or to get in touch with the Alayoress or secretary of the Social Service Association. The committee has the assurance of the loyal support ofl the representatives of other organisations of the town in this work.
