DEAD MASTER'S SHACK

HORSE FORCES ENTRY FAITHFUL ANIMAL'S VIGIL A horse, whinnying at frequent intervals, walked in and out of the doorway of a shack near Liverpool, New South Wales, late on a recent night, its strange behaviour aroused the curiosity of a neighbour, and ho walked to the shack to investigate the matter. Marks left on the door by the horse's hoofs showed that the animal had pawed it repeatedly before the lock yielded and it had forced the door open. Inside the shack the tragic cause of the horse's agitation and long vigil was revealed. Lying on the bed was the body of the horse's muster, Peter Petersen, aged 65. Mr. Petersen was last seen alive two days previously. At the time the bodswas discovered he had been dead apparently for two days.
